New Trier Educational Foundation Golf Outing
Highlights Student Programs and Faculty
The New Trier Educational Foundation hosted its 15th Annual Golf Outing & Auction this fall at The Glen Club for the third consecutive year. Board treasurer Will Daniels ’86 delivered brief remarks and thanked the event sponsors at the opening. Music faculty Sarah Kropski sang the Star-Spangled Banner which gave the golfers an exuberant sendoff for the course.
Contest victories were celebrated in the evening at the cocktails and awards reception emceed by Co-Chairs Brian Bewley and Carrie Winter. Superintendent Dr. Paul J. Sally shared how the partnership between the Foundation and the District is helping to create new initiatives that will benefit students and faculty for years to come. Board of Education members Keith Dronen and Jean Hahn joined in the evening celebration.
Teachers, whose supplemental enrichment programs received funding support from the Foundation, set up activity stations to show attendees how students are benefiting from their programs. They include applied arts faculty Jason Boumstein and Chip Finck, and special education faculty Sean Clemenz and Darci Woodson. Guests learned about the many ways the Foundation has been impacting the lives of New Trier students by funding innovative educational experiences throughout the community.
